Business Conditions

Minimum order quantities/amount:

• Minimums are described in each pricelist in the section of minimum requirements. We operate with a minimum order value and a minimum quantity per item.
• Orders below minimum order value are subject to a USD 250 handling charge
• We offer our customers the possibility to mix different product categories to get above the order value limit

Becoming a distributor of Asian Design House:

• We are happy to make formal distributor agreements for certain markets with companies with a proven track record of selling and distributing gift, furniture and decorative items. We will need to know your credentials and to meet you face to face to discuss.

Sample orders:

• We accept sample orders to review our quality. Samples are sold at 200% of list price + freight. We refund sample costs up to USD 100 when an order is placed above minimum order value.

Who can order from us:

• Retailers, wholesalers, distributors, hotels, restaurants, companies producing chocolate/tea/coffee, interior decorators and corporate clients ordering unique gifts.
• WE DO NOT DEAL WITH PRIVATE CONSUMERS.

Pricelist:

• Our pricelist is in USD/EURO and is quoted as FOB (Free On Board) - in essence this means that we will pay for the cost until your products reaches the ship/plane. This includes export tax from Thailand and Vietnam and handling fees until the shipment is on board the ship/plane. You will have to pay for the freight and insurance for the shipment
• Our pricelist is a wholesale pricelist. We do give further discounts in cases of a significant orders
• Refer to each individual pricelist for further details.

Payment terms:

• We request a 50% deposit when you place the order - the remaining 50% are to be forwarded to us prior to final shipment
• We accept L/C (letter of credit)
• For smaller orders or short lead time orders (less than 4 weeks) we require 100% prepayment

Order leadtime (typical order lead time):

• Lacquerware products 10-14 weeks – some items in stock
• Celadon products 6-12 weeks
• Bamboo products 4-9 weeks
• Silk products 1-4 weeks
• Lanterns 3 weeks
• Table lamps 3-4 weeks
• Furniture 2-8 weeks

Freight options:

• You decide whether to use ocean or airfreight
• We can also assist you in choosing the right transport provider. Typically all order are shipped via ocean freight as that is the most economical way of transport. We are happy to give you quotes from our forwarders in Thailand and Vietnam to compare with quotes you receive in home country.
• For sample order we will typically ship on your courier account or we will ask you to prepay freight in case you have no courier account

Quality inspection:

• All our products are quality inspected during and after production
• We also invite our customers to carry out quality inspections on larger orders

Claims:

• In the case you would like to claim for any issues related to your order you need to notify us in writing within 7 days of taking delivery of the order
• To file a claim please let us know the item code, size, finish and quantity of products - you will also need to explain why you claim for this product.
• We require pictures to back up claim
• Please note we are not responsible for breakages because of rough handling or transport breakages by the shipping lines - any claims related to breakages as a consequence of rough handling/transport breakages by forwarders/shipping lines must be filed directly with forwarder and insurance company. We will of course assist you with this.
